Govt Simplifies Registration for “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” Housing Scheme

The Government of Pakistan has further simplified the registration process for its flagship “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar”  program, enabling citizens to easily apply online and turn their dream of owning a home into reality.

According to the Housing Department, residents can now submit their applications online, making the overall process faster, transparent, and more convenient.

So far, the program has delivered 30,600 completed houses, while 105,700 families have obtained housing loans. In addition, 69,200 families have already received their second loan installment to continue construction work.

To encourage early repayment, the government has introduced special incentives — families who clear their loans within 1–3 years will receive a 20% discount, while those repaying within 4–6 years will get a 10% rebate.

Officials say the initiative not only promotes timely loan repayment but also helps accelerate home construction for middle-income families.

With the launch of the online registration system, the process has become more efficient and transparent, allowing applicants to join the scheme without visiting government offices.
